Power Automate connector

The Axtension Content Gate Power Automate connector enables you to define your own actions on content items and offers the possibility to upload content in Content Gate.

For each trigger and action that is available, the connection to the Content Gate environment needs to be specified. You can select an existing connection that is already available in the Power Platform, or create a new one. If a new connection is created, you will be prompted for the DNS subdomain of the Content Gate environment.

For example, if the URL of the Content Gate environment https://demo-environment.content-gate.com, the "demo-environment".

The triggers and actions that are available in the Power Automate connector are described below.

Triggers

When content is added / updated / deleted

There are three triggers which can be used to start a Power Automate Flow based on actions that are performed on a content item in Axtension Content Gate. These triggers are:

• When content is added
• When content is updated
• When content is deleted

For each of these triggers, there is the possibility to optional specify for which content category / categories applies.

Actions

There are several actions available in the Axtension Content Gate Power Platform connector to work with content or configuration data. These actions are described in this section.

Create Content Item Requirements

Field	Description
Business Entity Connector	The business entity connector for the business entity type to use
Business Entity Type	The business entity type to add the content item requirements to
Business Entity Identifier	The business entity identifier to add the content item requirements to
Content Item Template	The content item template to use for the content item requirement
Content Item Template Group	The content item template group to use for the content item requirements

Execute Query

Field	Description
Business Entity Connector	The business entity connector for the business entity type to use
Business Entity Type	The business entity type to add the content item requirements to
Business Entity Identifier	The business entity identifier to add the content item requirements to
View	Optional: the view to use: only documents linked to the selected business entity in the specified view will be returned

Get Content

Field	Description
Content Item Identifier	The unique id of the content item

Get linked business entities

This action returns all business entities that are linked to the provided content item.

Get Shared Content Link

Field	Description
Content Item Identifier	The unique id of the content item

List all the user properties of a content item

This action returns the set of all user defined properties on a content item.

List Business Entity Connectors

This action returns all available business entity connectors configured in the connected Content Gate environment.

List Business Entity Types

This action returns all available business entity types configured in the connected Content Gate environment.

List Content Categories

This action returns all content categories configured in the connected Content Gate environment.

List Content Entity Requirements

This action returns all content item requirements that are available on a given entity.

Field	Description
Provider Reference Id	The unique id of the content item
External Type	The business entity type to link the content item to
External Id	The identifier of the business entity to link the content item to

List content item template groups

This action returns all content item template groups that are configured

List content item templates

This action returns all content item templates that are configured.

List storage connectors

This action returns all configured storage providers.

List views

This action returns all views which include the specified business entity type.

Field	Description
Business entity type	The business entity type that is available in the view

Store Content

The following fields needs to be configured:

Field	Description
Title	The title of the content item
Content type	The type of content (File Contents or web-link
Content	The file content, Base65 encoded
Content Category	The content category for the file to upload
Business Entity Connector	The business entity connector, as configured in the Content Gate configuration
Business Entity Type	The business entity type to link the content item to
Business Entity Identifier	The identifier of the business entity to link the content item to
Content MIME-type	The mime-type of the file contents (only necessary when no file-extension is available in the filename)
Storage Connector	The storage connector to use when storing the document. If left empty, the storage connector will be used based on the storage rules defined in the Content Gate configuration

Updates the content item user property

This action updates content item property for the given content item.

Field	Description
Content item id	The unique id of the content item
Content item property	The name of the content item property

Based on the type of the selected content item property, the corresponding input field(s) will be shown.
