Content Item Templates

Content item templates are predefined templates for the content items that can be added to Content Gate.

A new content item template can be added by clicking the "Add" button in the section "Content Item Templates" in the administrator page.

When creating a new content item template, the following information can be specified:

Setting	Description
Name	The name of the content item template
API name	The name of the content item template for using in the API
Business entity	The business entity for which the content item template can be added	Title	The title of the content item that is created based on the template. You can add placeholders from the related business entity by making use of the option "Add dynamic content
File Types	The filetypes that are allowed to upload when using this template. You can enter the extensions of the filename to filter
Storage default	The storage provider to use for storing the document

For the settings that have the option to change permissions, the following options are available:

Permission level	Description
View	Specifies which users or user groups can view the value of this property on content items that are created based on this template
Edit on create	Specifies which users or user groups can modify the value of the setting or property when uploading a file for this template. After uploading, changing the value is no longer possible
Update	Specifies which users or user groups can modify the value of the settings or properties

If different permissions must be specified for third-party applications, the toggle "Specify explicit permissions for third-party applications" can be enabled and separate permissions can be set.

In the property tab the content item properties can be specified. Permissions can be set on the property in the same way as described above.

The permissions tab allows you to specify the permissions for a user or user group. Create means that the user is able to create a content item based on this template. Delete means that the user is able to remove the content item template.
