Changes were made with regards to incorrect labels
Performance improvements were made to opening and loading galleries with large amounts of related entities.
When configuring the business entity model and entering a business entity value, an error would occur.
In case a document had been added with a specific property, it was no longer possible to edit the content item if the property had been removed.
In preparation for future features, an API name was introduced to identify views in the API.
It is now possible to integrate a Content Gate environment simultaneously with an CE and a FO environment. The integration is further explained in the Integrating FO and CE entities article.
When users were added from AAD, the license type would always be full user regardless of configuration.
When adding a user to a property or permissions, typing part of the name and pressing enter would add [object Object] instead of the user.
Additional telemetry was added to get more detailed information on performance of Content Gate. This information will be used to optimize performance.
When opening a gallery with enough documents to have a scrollbar the loading indicator would be shown below all documents instead of at the bottom of the window.
It is now possible to create custom Date/Time properties to enable galleries to be filtered specific dates or date ranges.

When entering Azure blob storage credentials in the storage connector setup, if the credentials were faulty no error would be thrown.
When adding business entity links, these would not always be correctly added causing the seemingly random removal of business entity links.
When adding a business entity connector and clicking connect before saving. An error was thrown.
The business entity links section which is displayed when previewing a document was displayed incorrectly in the embedded view.
After changing the name of an existing entity, it was no longer possible to add new business entities because an error would be thrown.
When the first name of a user would contain a space, the second part of the name would be included in the last name.
When uploading a document with a ' in the filename an error would occur trough SharePoint.
When configuring Content Gate, some pages would require a manual save and others would not. This has been made consistent to improve the user experience.
When linking to an incorrect business entity, this would throw a technical error. This has been changed to make the error more understandable.
The ability was added to filter on specific unknown file types. Previously all document types not recognized by Axtension® Content Gate were added to the Unknown section of the file type filter.
There was a bug which caused the previewer to show a corrupt file error in Internet Explorer.
When a document contained a # in the filename, the previewer didn't work.
When adding business entities the link direction was taken into account. Where it should be possible to add business entities which link backwards instead of just forwards.
When uploading a file without a file extension, an error was thrown after upload. This was changed to alert the user when a file is added (before uploading)
If a file was changed in SharePoint, the previewer in Content Gate in Internet Explorer would still show the old document. This had to do with cashing and has been fixed.
There were some minor issues with the User Interface (front end) of the Gallery and Admin section. Such as icons which didn't properly display, labels which weren't correct, and animations which were not displayed properly.
When trying to save a single select list property an error was thrown, blocking the save.
When trying to save a number property with a default value an error was thrown, blocking the save.
Added the ability to filter users, based on the license type.
For provider types in Business Entity Connectors and Storage Connectors the technical names used in the labels have been replaced with more functionally oriented labels.
There was an issue where guest users were not able to login. This has been fixed.
The CommonId has been introduced to the business entity model as preparation for supporting multiple business entity providers.
When creating a view and adding users as the last step. Creating the next view would start on the user tab. This has been fixed.
When changing the order of business entities in a view. This could break the view. This has been fixed.
It is now possible to view the user licenses in generic settings.
It is now possible for Content Gate to suggest a relation in the business entity model based on dynamics. Note that the latest release of the Content Gate connector needs to be installed in Dynamics.
This scrollbar has been removed since it did not add any function.
Now the Self-referencing entities are set to show as filter by default.
Some features were not working properly in Internet Explorer. Changes were made to improve the user experience in IE.
When changing the default storage connector, an error would occur.
After removing a temporary storage connector the prompt discard changes is shown even when there are no changes to discard.
It was possible to click the download button for weblinks without any function.
This has now been changed so the last filter status is saved.
It was possible to delete all business entities in a view, this invalidates the view. So a validation has been put in place.
During the overhaul of the business entity model configuration the import and export function had been removed. This is now available again.
For troubleshooting purposes, the query engine has been instrumented to be able to allow diagnostics to be returned.
The environment highlight was not shown when using internet explorer. This has been fixed.
When using the embedded view of Content Gate, the date pickers were not correctly shown.
The way that the business entity model can be viewed and configured in the administrator settings has been overhauled. For more information and work instructions on this topic, feel free to refer to the documentation section on this website.
If a user is not logged in with credentials that grant them access to content gate while they are accessing content gate in embedded mode, the application will now prompt them with a login popup in which they can supply the required credentials.

Preparations were made for new features in following releases.
We changed the error thrown on a failed login attempt to give more information depending on what went wrong.
An admin can now configure a connection to an Azure KeyVault instance in the customer tenant. Either by connection using a secret, or by using the oAuth capabilities of Azure AD.
It is now possible to add additional business entity links to existing documents.
Added the open document link (previously direct link) to the button bar in the gallery to enable one click opening of a (supported) document.
In the admin section > Views > Content Item properties. The link to the values included dialog will be disabled if there is nothing that can be changed.
Content Gate now has an embedded view available. Intended for inline usage with D365 for Customer Engagement. To test this view, add ;mode=embedded to the URL.
This has been changed so the edit button is disabled until it can be used.
When a user is removed from the Azure AD. It was no longer possible to remove a user group which included that user.
The views-dropdown in the gallery is rendered as inactive while the page is loading. After the page finished, the dropdown would still be inactive until clicked. This has been fixed.
All supported operations in the tenant settings backend classes are now performed asynchronously.
On the gallery in the button bar (when selecting a document) the navigate button had the wrong background color. This has been corrected.
When selecting multiple items in the gallery, then clicking the delete button for one of the items, it could take a long time to load. If in the meantime the button was pressed again the dialog would open twice.
The prompt is no longer shown in this case.
Stability improvements have been done to the creation of new storage connectors.
We added the ability to add system properties as filter in a view, this includes: created on, changed on, created by, changed by, file type.
Date filters are now available in the Content Gallery.
We added the option to filter on file extension.
We added the possibility to use Norwegian characters.
When deleting an item that is used in a storage rule (such as Category) the storage rule will now be deleted as well to prevent conflicts.
When deleting an item from content that doesn't exist in the storage, an error occurred. This has now been made possible.
It is now possible for Content Gate to Write audit logging to the audit storage location. If audit logging is setup and the write to the audit log fails, the request will fail as well for security purposes.
The user is now only allowed to switch a document to a category when the user also has create rights.
The sorting of the categories in the backend and front end was not consistent. This has now been made so the sorting of the back end matches the front end.
When updating a multiple select content item property and only changing the values (not the amount of values) it was not possible to save this. This has been fixed.
Adding a user to a newly created user group leads to a service exception. This has been fixed.
It is now possible to add an environment specific border to help identify the environment. For instance when differentiating between Prod and Sandbox.
"Linked Content Item Properties are not supported by this Storage Connector." was shown for storage connectors where they were supported. This has been fixed.

After changing the storage location for a document, it was no longer possible to select the automatic storage location.
When adding multiple storage providers to a Content Gate environment it was not possible to remove the default one.
When a view was setup to filter specific categories, the upload button would be disabled as a whole instead of only disallowing to upload a specific category.
We added the possibility to connect to Azure Blob storage using a SAS token.
When closing the filters on the gallery the collapse and expand animations were not consistent, these have been aligned.
When removing a user in the admin section the search text box would disappear.
XPS files were not correctly shown in the previewer, this has been fixed.
When exiting a document update dialog an error would be thrown.
On the admin side, some buttons and dialogs had inconsistent labels. The labels have been made more consistent.
On the admin side, categories are now sorted alphabetically.
When uploading many files, it could occur that SharePoint started throttling the upload requests causing slower upload. Content Gate now respects these rules to improve upload speed for big sets of files.
When a SharePoint library contains more than 5000 files and the file already exists the upload would fail with an error, this has been resolved.
It was not possible to view and edit permissions after creating a category.
When exporting a category to a SharePoint column, the value was not always populated.

Its now possible to set advanced user rights. Its possible to define on multiple levels:
Permissions will be inherited from the level above. An explicit deny will outweigh an explicit allow if configured on the same level (for example with users in multiple groups) Multiple permissions can be set:
AutoCAD files of the type dwg are now also available in the previewer. Note this only works for specific dwg files.

We added the support for the German language.
On the business entity model it is possible to view the relationships, previously only the outbound relationships were shown. This has been changed so also inbound relationships are displayed.
We did some preparations required for upcoming features
We changed a label to clarify that storage defaults only works on upload of a document.
In some cases it could occur that an error was thrown when switching from a content gallery to the admin section and back. This has been fixed.

No Bugfixes in this release
Previously it could occur that a document was uploaded but it would not be displayed in the gallery because the category is not included in the gallery which was confusing. We restricted the ability to upload documents to categories that are not within view to improve the user experience.
We re-introduced the filters when there was nothing to filter on, for instance when only one document is present in the gallery. Customer feedback informed us that removing the filters was confusing.
When navigating to a related entity, the title of the gallery was not updated until the new gallery had finished loading all content.
Properties such as FileSize, CreatedOn and CreatedBy showed the technical values in the gallery filter options. This has been changed to a non-technical name.
Only bugfixes in this release
When using a multi line property it is presented as a single line, this has been changed to display as a multi line.
When clicking the clear selection button for the filters, it could occur that not all filters were removed. This has been fixed.
When you have 2 views in one gallery, switching views appends the new documents instead of refreshing all documents.
When creating a view based on a certain data entity, the toggles for filtering and visibility were grayed out where they should be changeable.
Users outside of the admin group were in some cases able to view and modify admin settings
In the admin section it was not possible to change the order in which business entities are displayed in a view.
When adding a document to an empty gallery, then removing the document again. The filters were in a different state then the initial empty gallery. This has been fixed.
When navigating trough business entities using the related business entity links it could occur that links got broken and navigation was blocked until a refresh. This has been fixed.
We completely redesigned the look and feel of content gate to improve the user experience. This enabled us to create a more uniform look and feel and add new features which weren’t possible with the old interface. Such as dragging and dropping files directly on the content gallery, sorting and multi selecting.
When for example an account number from an account in Customer Engagement is not filled, opening the gallery of the specific account throws the following error: CG400-00000262: Unable to construct a valid context. This error message has been improved.
When adding categories it could cause duplicate selections before saving. This has been fixed.
